Setup
Setting up the Mac Host
- Download and open Volero Host on the Mac you want to reach.
- Allow Screen Recording and Accessibility when macOS asks — that's what lets you see and control the Mac. Volero never asks for anything it doesn't use.
- Open Volero on your other device. Your Mac appears automatically on the same network — or over your iCloud from anywhere.
- Enter the access code shown on the Mac (or scan its QR code), then approve the device. Choose Always Allow for your own devices.

Why the Host is a download
To move your mouse and keyboard and capture your screen, the Host needs deeper access to macOS than Mac App Store apps are allowed. So it ships as a notarised download straight from us — signed and checked by Apple's notary service, the same way many professional Mac tools are distributed. The Volero app you control from is a normal, sandboxed App Store app.
